What does it really mean to be a leader in 2021? This May, join us for a month-long event covering all things leadership, including work-life balance, team empowerment and lessons USLI leaders have learned along the way. Whether you are stepping into a leadership position for the first time or you are a seasoned leader, dive deeper into your role and uncover how to better connect with your team.

Leadership is a lifestyle choice. Before we can successfully lead others, we must lead in our own life. Leadership involves the ability to motivate, empower and inspire others. The most authentic way to empower others is to empower yourself. Only when you are leading in your own life and making decisions that motivate you, can you truly be an effective leader.

What Is the Move More Initiative?
Move More creates awareness and promotes movement to break up periods of sitting throughout your workday. This initiative is something that is important to not only the physical and mental health of your team, but also their long-term productivity and efficiency. As a leader, it’s important to set an example and show the importance of movement throughout the day.

The journey through leadership is made up of learning experiences, and each day brings a new opportunity. Taking the time to reflect and realizing the impact you have on others is a crucial part of the journey. Some lessons may be learned instantly while the value of others may develop in time, but all lessons learned along the way contribute to your success as a leader.

Our two-tier Leadership Degree program is designed to enhance the knowledge, skill and confidence of new leaders as well as those with more experience leading others. The Associate of Leadership degree, designed for people with fewer than two years’ experience in leadership, introduces basic principles of leadership and coursework to develop skill in critical areas. The second level of the program is the Bachelor of Leadership degree, which builds on the principles covered in the Associate of Leadership degree and includes challenging coursework and application of skills.

Today is your opportunity to build
the tomorrow you want.
It’s a simple message, but it holds so much power. The hours in front of you will pass. It’s up to you whether or not you want to do something useful with them. Take the initiative to set an intention now. Make yourself a promise that you will use the hours before you for hard work, self-improvement, kindness, health and positive choices. Think about what you want to accomplish today, and hold yourself accountable. Use this opportunity to better yourself and overwhelm someone with your kindness.
How did we do?
We’d love to hear about your experience during our virtual Leadership Event!
