About these Destinations

Shriver’s candy logo

Shriver’s

Shriver’s is the oldest business on the boardwalk in Ocean City, New Jersey. In 1898 William Shriver founded Shriver’s as a restaurant, ice cream, and candy store. In 1959, Shriver’s was purchased by four brothers who owned Dairy Maid Confectionery Company; a retail candy and ice cream shop chain throughout Philadelphia. Today, it is owned and operated, three generations later, by the same family. The legacy of Shriver’s famous Salt Water Taffy, Fudge, and other fine confections still remains, over 100 years later. No one else on the Ocean City Boardwalk can boast the rare combination of a factory and retail store where you can come and see our delicious Salt Water Taffy and other confections being made.
While you may or may not have visited their retail store, Shriver’s tries to bring our wonderful selections, fun atmosphere, and old time tradition home to you through their website.

DRIP N’ SCOOP logo

Drip N’ Scoop

Drip N’ Scoop was created based on two passions: coffee and ice cream. They are a full service coffee bar and dairy bar from morning to close. Catering to all ages, they strive to make your day better with a quality brewed drink or sweet scoop of dairy.

Customers can enjoy a comfortable seating area sipping on their cold brews and munching on a trendy ice cream flavor on a fresh waffle. What’s not to love about that?

Rauhauser’s Candy logo

Rauhauser’s Own Made Candy

Rauhauser’s Candy is a family owned and operated business. Rauhauser said he started making candy as a hobby when he lived in Glenside, Pa. He has been making candy since 1940. He never went to school to learn candy making but learned the art during the years he worked for the Stutt’s Candy Shop in Jenkintown and in Marquetland’s in Philadelphia.  He has had his own business about 32 years.

Rauhauser opened his shop in Ocean City 14 years ago, three doors away from the present location. He does not make salt water taffy but gets it from a world-renowned manufacturer in the resort area.  The majority of the candy sold in the shop is made on the premises but the shop does carry different types of candies and novelty items from about 10-12 suppliers and jobbers.
