  • Welcome to USLI Fundamentals First! This introductory segment will outline our expectations and give an overview of your time with us. We will go over ways to be successful and make the most out of this opportunity. Let’s get started!

  • We will dig into the elements of commercial property underwriting. Through our exploration of the coverage forms, we will discuss what property is covered and not covered, how business income is considered, as well as the perils that trigger coverage within the different forms.

  • There are five common negotiating styles, and we will review the appropriate instances to which you can apply those styles. We will also review common techniques that are counterproductive to effective negotiating. At the end of this session, you will be able to identify your own and others’ negotiating styles and apply strategies to achieve success in negotiations.

  • This session will provide a comprehensive introduction to the concept of liability and negligence and the genesis of what triggers coverage under ISO’s General Liability Coverage Form. We will also explore the topics of named insureds and additional insureds.

  • Join us as we dive into the world of dram shop statutes and common law liability, which are the basis for why liquor liability insurance exists.

  • Regardless of your position, learning the fundamentals of how to sell will always prove helpful within the insurance industry. The content of this sales training will cover the different ways you can be successful at selling who you are.

  • Have you ever called a prospect or customer and the conversation didn’t go as planned? Perhaps you even got hung up on! Cold and warm calling can be difficult if you haven’t considered all the steps to selling over the phone. This session will review cold calling fundamentals and share tools for phone-based success.

This Business Dinner will allow you to practice the skills you have been taught so that you can be better prepared and carry yourself with professionalism in these out-of-office settings.
